Matthew J. Steward is a lifelong resident of Schaumburg Township. Matt’s dedication to the community has been inspired by his older special needs siblings. He spent his youth in Schaumburg Boy Scout Troop 493, where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  Matt currently helps lead the direction and activities of a Loop law firm’s Finance Department and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Dominican University.  Matt’s budgeting knowledge and board experience will benefit all our residents by increasing Schaumburg's inclusion and responsiveness.

Robert N. Fiorio resides in Schaumburg with his wife of 30 years, Barbara. They have two daughters, Samantha and Heather, and a Golden Retriever named Ivy. Robert is a business owner and has over 40 years of experience in the Transportation Industry. Robert held the position as a Railroad Executive, VP Sales for a leading Railroad Supplier, and when retired started a Railroad Industry Consulting Group. Robert participates as an Official for the Illinois High School Association Athletics and as a Veteran Election Judge.

 Lauren Saternus has lived in the Township of Schaumburg with her husband, Matt, for 11 years. They have two daughters, Sydney and Quinn. As a school psychologist, mother, and involved community member, Lauren understands the value and impact of the programs and services which are provided to our residents by the Township government.

Demetrius J. Gibson is a resident of Schaumburg Township with his wife Maria for the past 15 years. Together they have four children, two boys and two girls. Demetrius has a comprehensive business background working as a Distribution Sales Manager. He has previous experience as a corporate quality control product manager and as a food industry engineer. When not spending time with his family, Demetrius is working in the areas of diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness.
